Please, I bought an acer nitro 5 laptop at the end of last march, and then two days ago, as I was working on it, the charger issued a sound, then it stopped working, the electrical power went out completely from the house, the charger was not working.
Is that an industry flaw?
What am I supposed to do with this problem?

    In all this time I haven't heard of a charger doing that to a house lighting circuit and has never been reported here before. It sounds to me like your home had a power surge and you noticed it on the charger first then the lights went out. A charger can't make the house lights go out but the house power can damage the charger and the warranty would not cover that. You will need to buy a new charger from the Acer store
    To avoid this type of thing, ALWAYS have your laptop or Desktop power cord plugged into a Surge Protector
    I'm sorry but this is probably not the answer you wanted to hear but if I answered your question please click YES, thankyou

    Any Surge Protector will do fine here is a selection at Amazon https://www.amazon.com/s?k=surge+protector&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
    I'm sorry but logically the House power damaged the charger not the other way round

    @andylb thanks for your replay
    That means this problem is not guaranteed and I have to fix it?
    And please tell me a specific type of Surge protector that is used with the laptop.
