  • Hi,
Could you please post the actual model of your laptop(E5-xxx), does it show in Device manager? If you can see it in Device manager, expand it and right click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, uninstall and reboot to let Windows install the driver.
If you don't see it in Taskbar, right click Taskbar, click Taskbar settings, scroll down the page to " Select which icons appear on the taskbar" and switch on for Power.

  • Hi,
Right click on an empty space in Taskbar, click on Taskbar Settings (the wheel), at the next window scroll down the page "Select which icons appear on the Taskbar, switch it on at the next window that appears.

    Hi,
You could try a battery reset, switch off the laptop, remove the AC adapter and follow the instructions in the video:https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34843/~/acer-internal-battery-reset

My E15 is doing same "no battery is detected".  I've tried all those steps but it only worked for 1min.  I'm not sure what occured to cause the issue as my e15 sits in my office. I use it like a desktop, plugged into a universal doc with keyboard, mouse, monitor.  I contacted support and they want 299 which is ridiculous!  Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue here. Aspire E15, E574-322E No battery detected from first boot up. Have tried the above a couple of times and still same result. Also have tried the Acer care center updates and no results there either. You would think Acer would have a solution with this many people with this issue. Have not tried a bios update yet?

If by any chance you have recently opened you computer to upgrade RAM or storage you must always, always put all screws and tight them all before turning computer on again, since this could cause the battery to do not be detected in SOME models.

You have to consider an analysis to try and find a solution for your issue. If the above mentioned didn't work you have to summarize the possibilities as well as a physical issue, ever since what was mentioned is indeed a software issue.
How to separate physical from logical? Simple, just disconnet power supply from laptop and see it keeps running if it doesn't, that indicates it's physical, it's needed then to identify the cause, that should most likely be a faulty battery, in some cases: faulty cable, faulty plug to motherboard or even fault mortherboard but I don't think you should be that unlucky.

If your computer is still in warranty period seek their assistance.

If you're dealing with a software issue, try seeking other tutotials online on system detection, or even third party software.
