During heavy use with Turbo on is losing 10ish% battery an hour while plugged in normal? I am using a Helios 300 with the 1060ti.
Is this just something gaming laptops are known to do?

I have the same laptop and it always does this, I always assumed it was designed that way to use the battery along with the charger to help feed the power without going with a bigger power supply.

Good evening Ronnoc and Order_66  !

    There is absolutely nothing wrong.
High performance laptops use some battery power to calibrate extra voltages when a high demand is made.
This percentage can go down to 40%.
After that it will recharge normally without any problem.

@Ronnoc all completely normal and the more usb devices you have connected draining power the more the battery will discharge :) in case you use many devices connected i suggest you to get a good self powered usb hub like an anker for ex and its one of the battery main purpose to provide extra power to the adapter for the cpu/gpu when this one can't also bare in mind when the battery reaches 40 or less it will start to recharge and you will have to stop what you are doing and let it recharge to 100% again (this usually doesnt happen unless you are playing for really long time non stop and high demanding games)

Also you stated 1060ti (as far as im aware that gpu doesnt exist technically there are 2 versions of the 1060 the 3gb and the 6gb so the 6gb could probably be ti version that never existed in the 1060 variants :) because the 1050, 1070, and 1080 they all have ti variants ) if its the new 2019 would be a 1660ti :) but because its the PH317-51 should be a gtx 1060 correct ? i7-7700HQ anyway i just wanted to clarify the exact specs you have so no one get mistaken here :)
