The empty m.2 slot is JSSD1 encircled in green in the image above just to the upper right of the DDR4 slot JDIMM2 also encircled in green. You can add an m.2 SATA3 SSD card in this empty slot. Jack E/NJ

Only one DDR4 slot for up to 20GB total (16GB removable). It should have a 4GB removable module + 4GB non-removalble in there now. An m.2 SSD can be added. Go to crucial dot com for more detailed specs on upgrades. Jack E/NJ

Check again. It's listed for me. a315-53 is the main model. Don't worry about sub-model as the mainboard is the same. Jack E/NJ

I bought ssd m2 nvme Vgen Hyper 256gb, in the slot on my laptop Acer Aspire 3 Ryzen 3 is already right with the m2, but why is it unreadable on Bios and Disk Management on Windows 10? can anyone help me provide a solution? please

If you have the A315-53, the m.2 slot supports m.2 SATA3 speeds not m.2 NVME speeds. While m.2 NVMEs should be work at m.2 SATA3 speeds, they often have compatiblity problems like you are having. Accordingly, I suggest that you exchange the m.2 nvme card for a more reliable m.2 SATA3 card. Jack E/NJ

Should be OK. Is the card seen in the BIOS ***INFORMATION*** tab and by pressing WIN+R and running 'diskmgmt.msc'? Jack E/NJ

it is a 500gb card just in case that is important.

The size may be an issue since the specsheet shows 256GB as largest tested. Can you see the card in the BIOS Information tab? Jack E/NJ

I reseated it for the fourth time and now I can see it. Booting from it successfully with much faster performance. Problem sorted, but thanks for your help nonetheless. At least we’ve proven a 500gb card works.
