Is it possible to get around 8 hours of battery life on the Triton 500 (9th gen 2060)

I'm thinking of buying the triton 500 as a laptop for play at home or when im plugged in, and work at school. Based on what i have read when people tested it using battery testers, they got around 4.5-6 hrs. Has anyone here gotten more than that? (Doing spreadsheets, writing essays, light internet browsing)

Note: i am alright with making sacrifices (lower rez and refresh, etc)

TrooperZ on a triton 500 i dont think so and to get more than the advertised time its already a huge sacrifice on probably locking out some cores and to make it stay on idle most of the time (thats not why you buy a laptop anyway especially a gaming laptop) i havent known/seen anyone yet having those battery times you stated above the 9th gen's and the 2060's are really power consuming (heating) so i wouldnt bet on it too much :)

LuckyJay I managed to get 7:30 on the awesome Spin5 i7 U8550 IGPU only that acer sent me after undervolting it without any optimization only battery saver plan with 15 ff tabs open and listening to my online radio flash player stream (joomla)  in the first day but after the usual its 5/5:30 prob 6 max and we are talking about a normal laptop that will still work at normal performance nothing was disabled not a gaming laptop that will use 10x more power

PS: you have achieved an awesome battery lifetime but at a high cost would you mind to open a thread about your experience and share step by step what to to exactly to achieve that goal as i thing many here would be very interested in it :) and by the way Justin its me loool if you havent noticed yet :xd

Even for regular work to even a bit near the time you want you would have to probably work only with a single core active and almost on idle with dgpu disabled (nothing on it at all) and the powerplan/brightness etc really tweaked at max of course you would need to unlock all the hidden features in the advance powerplan and know exactly with which values to play with and where and even so i have my doubts about it

Helios 300 - G3-572 - i7 7700 and 1060 - max i was about to get was about 5-6 usable hours - considering low to mid level work - as in browsing forums, watching youtube and such at 40% brightness - you'd need to optimize your laptop to amazing levels. On a normal day I'd get like 4-5 hours - purely on IGPU (DGPU completely off).
I call these usable hours since I did something on the laptop, than leave it on idle mode - no point in stretching laptop this way.
