I have an Acer Aspire V3 575G laptop using Windows 10 that have a 1tb capacity hard drive shown as 2 drives with about 500gb each. I formatted the C drive and used the other drive as backup. After a fresh install of Windows, the other drive is missing showing only the C drive. It is not showing in disk management and in diskpart. How can I recover the other drive?

Hi,
I think you have a 1TB drive which was partitioned and given two drive letters, the deleted partition should show up as unallocated, I would suggest you to backup your system and data to an external HDD, then clean install the Windows on the 1TB drive, once completed you can create another partition(D) if you want.

Hi,There is no unallocated partition showing on the disk management, just the 465.22GB C drive and the System Reserved. The other 450+ GB is missing. Even in the Windows install setup, it doesn't show up.0

Go to Device manager, expand Disk drives, select your drive and uninstall the driver, reboot and check whether it resolves the problem, could you please post the snip of your hard drive in Device manager.
