Recently bought a predator helios 300 2019 version and my experience has been excellent. However, I have some doubts regarding laptop temperatures: first question: 1. do the rps of the cpu and the gpu work at the same speed? because in max load the cpu remains below as far as speed is concerned. 2. It is normal that in idl the CPU tempreatur in the automatic configuration of the fan control in some occasions at 47 - 52 Celsius. 3. It is normal that in Turbo mode the CPU temperatures reach 92 Celsius ... thanks in advance

Sakizx in fact the 2019 H300 its one of the best if not the best gaming laptops on the market right now but you shouldnt be hitting those temps not even near i suspect you might have a bad repaste in your unit so i suggest you to contact amazon for a replacement or if they refuse it Acer support explain them the issue and ask for a repaste because the temps youre hitting its not normal for you model at all you should be under 80 for demanding games

Actually if u saw the reviews, they are all around 88-94. ( Without turbo ). 82-86 ( with turbo )
Check - the latest bob of all trades
                - Jared's thermal review
                - own or disown review

Yes there is improvements but nothing compared to what ur stating. Even mine goes around 88°C playing R6 siege on low settings.

I found cpu temperature of 92 Celsius is normal. Gaming laptops like gaming hp omen also increased to 98-99 Celsius

On idle, my PH315-52 has idle cpu 47-55 C too, fans rpm is 1900-2200 cpu and 2700 gpu and this is very very loud actuallly. And it’s impossible to set it lower than these limits, i think we need to have fans at 1500 both cpu and gpu then we can say it is really quiet but it’s impossible with predator sense. And it all is with latets bios 1.05 which is just out so no any hopes for improvements in nearest futur))

    Update
After several hours idling in night, CPU is 44C 3500 MHz 1.093v and fan is 1680 rpm
GPU is no reading C and System temp is 31C but GPU fan is 2200RPM

Overall it is much better but still isn’t quiet, why it’s still 2200 on GPU? Probably lowering it’s rpm to 1680 will improve it till near ideal but how o do it?

Also, max cpu rpm is 5700 and gpu 6240, it’s not the same fans?

No they dont have the same speeds for the cpu/gpu because one heats up more than the other even on idle the gpu will always be higher :) mine are always 2300 cpu 2400 gpu on idle (cpu 36% usage all the time) the fans might be the same but the settings setup in the bios itself by the engineers are not the same for both

I wonder what is minimal rpm they can run each, looks like gpu is aeroblade but can’t run below 2200? (Or it is just curve setting). In this case I would swap gpu fan with normal delta to minimize noise  =)

Dont think swapping would make any difference as i said this is pre-setup in the bios hidden settings that only Acer devs can access it :)

Looks like on idling they give 30% pwm (5700 x 0.3) to cpu but 35% pwm (6200 x 0.35) to gpu even if gpu is not engaged and temp readings is --
I don’t know what is the logic in it  :)

Well the only ones who could answer that would be the devs/engineers that came up with those exact numbers :)

Hi I heard about temps reaching 95-100 C too . Talking to a friend on what some of the new features of the Nvidia Control Panel . One that caught our attention was Low latency Mode which apparent when off , frames are compiled to the CPU before being processed by the GPU . So friend ( Who knows more about these things than me ) suggested setting to ultra . In doing so , temp have gone from 70 , 88 C to 65 , 70 C . Even though the machine can do ultimate without performance issues is gonna get hot and probably reduce the machine life expectancy . I set to high detail , motion blur off , RTX I set to Medium . On Hellblade I let Nvidias Optimizer decide , on RE 3 and RE7 set to High and RTX on Medium. The Medium worked quite well too (No RTX though )

I also have one of those coolers underneath . Also ensure the system is well ventilated so not playing on the be or carpet. Lol.
