    Good afternoon mnjrai !

First you must tell the exact model of your laptop and which version of Windows is installed.

First try turning the TV on with the FN+F5 toggle key combo. Jack E/NJ

Aspire E5-476G is my computer, I get a msg saying "your PC cant project to another screen. Try reinstalling the driver or using a different video card." It worked well before Windows updates

Simply open Control Panel. Search 'restore point'. Click 'create a restore point' in the left pane. Click 'system restore' button. Click 'next'. Select automatic Win10 restore point with a date stamp that caused HDMI problem. Jack E/NJ

Thank you all but I referred to this site and it solved my problem. I hope I did the right thing since I am not a computer expert.
