I believe they probably do require the invoice for the motherboard. Windows was licensed to the old motherboard so they'll need to provide a key linked to the replacement.

One long beep at power on is usually a RAM failure. Try reseating all the memory modules and try again. If that still fails try using just one module at a time in slot one.

I think the two beeps is from the checksum error. Either the CMOS battery has gone bad (cheap fix with coin cell battery) or there was corruption in the CMOS (also cheap fix, into BIOS and reset defaults, then save). Are both memory sticks the same brand and type? If they are the same try both of them, one at a time. If they both work by themselves it's likely a problem with the second memory slot, try blowing it out with compressed air and examine closely for a bent pin. If one stick doesn't work, it just needs to be replaced.

    Thanks Billsey!
All that is now clean and I could finally install my win8.1 oem with the 5 cd's. But now my problem is I can't activate Windows 8.1.
error code 0xC004C003. I think windowsMS want me to buy a new key, or what? I can read the last part of my key in the parameters and I found the entire key with a software but it isn't accepted...Strange...

You should be able to call in to Microsoft to get it activated, though that's always a bit of a hassle. The original key might have been for 8.0 instead of 8.1...

Yes, 8.0 instead of 8.1, that could be.
But how to call in to MS? Community, phone, support online…?
    Maybe that could help, yes.

Try support online via chat unless they want to charge for it, in that case ask the community for a link to the appropriate contact.

Sure, I am in contact with support online. But I had to find one invoice (of the mainboard I bought and installed) that I d0n't find. I found a probe of my payment with creditcard though and I have to recall them. At last I will maybe receive a key for activating my pc!

Billsey, yes you can give me another link because I receive only two bips when I try this morning to call back my number! So, ok for the appropriate link.

I have yet the probe of my payment for the new mainboard.
