Hi all. I've a A717-71G-53HR. It came with an intel nvme ssd of 256gb 4x PCI. It's fast as hell. I'm looking to expand storage. My computer also has 2 removable covers. One for RAM and with an free mSATA enoguh and enoguh rom for I guess a mSATA SSD..  Why does not my laptop have a free M.2 connector instead? Since the motherboard obviously support NVME and mSATA can only be used with mSATA ssd's which are slower and just as expensive as NVME ssds?

Can I still install a NVME 4x PCI SSD somehow???  Or I'm I stuck with the option for a mSATA ssd?

In case anyone is wondering, this laptop also works with the Samsung 970 PRO 1TB (I just installed this in mine). I think the "SSD up to 512gb supported" I see floating around here just means that what Acer tested it with... To be honest I think it's compatible with any single sided 2280 m.2 SSD, no matter the capacity...
    Thats Great
can you upload a screenshot of your disk-benchmark after installing the Samsung 970 PRO 1TB
    thanks
