Hi I have Predator triton 700 pt715-51
spec
i7-7700hq 3.8ghz
32gb ram 2400mhz
1tb ssd raid.
gtx 1080
gsync 120hz

my problem is that there is random stuttering play.

exchanged motherboard, processor, cooling.

Win10 pro.

- win10 perfomance settings!

- nvidia maximum perfomance settings.

During the game, 78-80 fps fall to 28 after 80 fps.

temperature during play: CPU: 69-70C GPU: 65-69C

I've tried so many things.  gsync off, vsync on.  60hz then 120hz.  I can't figure out what's wrong.

i tried the rtss.. —> it doesn't help either..

I tried to make the game settings from maximum settings to low settings. stuttering low settings and to ultra settings.

acer care service said it had no trouble with the laptop.

even for some reason stuttering.... :(

can anyone help?  or such a problem.

would appreciate any ideas!!!

Thanks..... and.... thanks!!!

If you haven't tried a full erase-everything ALT+F10 cold boot factory re-set, then yes it is probably the best way to rule in or rule out a hardware issue. But it is a major task and difficult to test with the games you're playing unless automatic Win10 updates are temporarily postponed. Before trying anything else, try turning of the CPU virtualization options in the BIOS advanced tab to see if that might be affecting these games. Jack E/NJ

Congrats on your success. But don't forget that you've turned them off if you ever want to run another operating system in 64-bit virtual mode. Jack E/NJ

    >>>During the game, 78-80 fps fall to 28 after 80 fps.>>>

    (1) Is battery near 100% charged and charger plugged in BEFORE you start the game?

    (2) If yes, about how many minutes after starting the game does FPS drop?

    (3) Do you have the 180watt 9amp charger or the 230watt 12amp charger?

    (1) YES!

    (2) immediately!

At the elevated command prompt, enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser. Compare design capacity with full charge capacity. Post screenshot if possible. Jack E/NJ

    Looks good.

    (1) In what game(s) are you seeing this drop?

    (2) Has it always dropped before & after the replacing the mainboard & thermal module?

    (1) I play with them FFXV, Hellblade,A Plague Tale, Devil May Cry 5 (here, for example, 4k is no lag), Witcher 3, Assa origins - odyssey,
    Shadow of the Tomb raider.

i don't understand because if the graphic setting is completely removed i shouldn't stuttering it?

    (2) yes, stuttering before and after!
(Acer care service wrote no trouble for the laptop. but something is still bad.  I have no idea... :( )
I put the system over re install.  it doesn't help either..

Why do you think it doesn't happen with this game? Jack E/NJ

all drivers have been downloaded from the acer site, except for intel hd graphic!

this is written in the installation:   this computer does not count as a minimum set of software installation.
