I've been using my Acer Switch Alpha 12 for almost a year now. Suddenly, it says no battery detected, it won't charge, and it dies when I remove the charger. When I tried to shut it down (power off), I couldn't turn it on even when I plug the charger. I tried draining the battery out by charging my phone from the USB port and after the battery has completely drained, I plugged the charger and it worked! But now, I can only use it when plugged in.

There is no battery reset button/pinhole. What should I do?

Open Device Manager. Click 'batteries' folder. Uninstall all listed drivers. Exit Device Manager. Then reboot the machine and let Windows automatically re-install the battery drivers. Jack E/NJ

How do I reboot? Can I just press ctrl+alt+del or is it resetting to factory default? I'm scared to click the power off button since it may not turn on again. Thank you!

Just shut down Windows like you normally would. Then wait a few seconds. And then press the power button to turn it back on. That's called re-booting. Jack E/Nj
