Hello,

my ACER doesn't startup and the repair/diagnostic tool doesn't fix it. I have tried to boot from USB  but doesn't work either.
I checked in into Support page but S/N and or SNID are not recognized it as a valid SN / SNID.
The laptop worked perfectly until today and was bought on September 30,2018, so according to the 12 months - it is still in warranty.
Can you help me to file the claim, please.
Francesco

I'm gonna guess because it saved some money by shipping a machine with English language Windows from a closer warehouse. Thanks for the report! Jack E/NJ

Do you have the original box it came in with the UPC label? It should also have the serial number id imprinted on it. Check to see if it's the same number. Also, Amazon or the vendor might've somehow gotten a Canadian-destined machine so you might try it there too  https://www.acer.com/ac/en/CA/content/support Jack E/NJ

Since, the device is under warranty, kindly try contacting acer support via telephone and check if they can access your computer records with the SN or SNID number details. In  that way you can claim the warranty. Check the below link for contact numbers.

I think so. Use the CA support site https://www.acer.com/ac/en/CA/content/support  to try to get it done. Let them know it's coming from NJ. I'm pretty sure you'll be responsible for shipping. It might even be cheaper than sending it to TX. Let us know how this goes. Jack E/NJ

    Hi Ciscoticoolpix,

I'm sorry to hear this.  Can you please send me a PM with the S/N of your unit so I can look into this for you?

    Thanks,

    Acer-Manny

    Hi All,
thanks for your comments. I went on Amazon and I noticed I bought it directly from ACER . I still have the option to send it back to ACER for repair, being under warranty.  So I did, received RMA and going to ship it back today. Problem solved.
The mystery is why ACER shipped me a canadian model .

I will follow up with the outcome.

    Thanks All
