AN515-42-R6GV - Can I leave the laptop ac adapter plugged in even after 100% charge?

I bought a new Acer nitro 5 which comes with amd 2500U...my friend told me that new laptops are made of smart technology which powers the laptop and stops charging after 100%..is the battery coming with my laptop has that kind of technology or should I unplug after fully charged to get better battery life?

    Yes, you can leave the laptop plugged in even after 100% charge and the battery will not suffer or 'overcharge'.

    What is the exact model of your notebook? Example an515-51-75kz! Notebooks only achieve maximum performance when connected to the power adapter! On the battery, when the charge reaches 100%, the motherboard stops to provide electrical energy to the battery. Therefore, there is no problem in using the notebook only in the electrical outlet. However, it is recommended that you use the notebook only on the battery, from time to time, so that your cells do not become unbalanced!

    @tobimaru @egydiocoelho Hi, I have Acer Nitro 5 model AN515-57 (2021) I want to know this same applies to my laptop too i.e Battery health wont 
    affected even if my laptop is at 100%charge and it is plugged in with AC for 4 to 5 hours? Will this cause any damage to my battery and battery life? please suggest?

    @pratikgs I think the an515-57 model has a feature that blocks battery charging at 80%, in acer care center.

    @egydiocoelho yes it has, but what if i did not opt for it (80% last for a while, could not change the 80% limit) in that case will battery stops to charge automatically at 100% or battery will suffer overcharge?

    Yes in  your laptop it will stop the adaptor charging at 100% charge. I've got the AN515-56 and that is the same as your AN515-57 and I have the adaptor plugged in all the time, but and periodically like every month, its best to drain the battery completely and then recharge the laptops battery to 100%.
