W700 spec in Malaysia

This is to ask for the hardware spec of W700 which is selling in Malaysia:
1. From Acer Malaysia homepage, understand that the tablet should come with microSD card reader. But why the actual product without this?

2. What is the actual 64GB hard disk type for W700 in Malaysia? SSD or SATA? Can I manually change it to 128 or 256GB SSD?

I just realized this as well, but I was well aware that all the models do not come with a MicroSD card slot when I bought my model in Malaysia.

Though our model here comes with an ambient light sensor while other models don't, correct me if I'm wrong. Yet, it wasn't listed on the spec sheet either.

Yes, I read up other Malaysians who upgraded their mSATA to 250GB but it's a DIY thing which Acer has no part of. Some shops here will help you. It will void your warranty if you change your SSD so I advise you on getting a temporary hard drive first, and wait for the first year of warranty to pass by.

About the RAM, it is soldered so it is impossible to be taken out. The only thing you can do is by adding more RAM, if there''s an extra slot for it.

    1. We're not aware of any Acer marketing material that states the tablet comes with a microSD card reader.

    2. The tablet uses an mSATA style SSD drive. We would not suggest opening the tablet as any damage may void your warranty.

    Hi Acer Travis,

    Thanks for your reply.

Please refer below for some others:

    1. Please refer to link below for the official website:

    http://www.acer.com.my/ac/en/MY/content/model-datasheet/NT.L0FSM.001

For the memory column, it shows that the Memory Card Reader is "YES" and the support memory type is "microSD".

Can I say that the spec is not tally with the actual?

    2. Can I ask the technical service to help when I found a suitable replacement? Because 64GB in Malaysia model is really to small.

    3. Similar to the memory? Can I upgrade the memory if I found the performance down?

    Thanks,

    Wong

Thanks farkindom for the kind confirmation.

Yes, sure I will wait for the 1st year of warranty period. Meanwhile, we also can wait for the SSD price down.

I believe spec of W700 is enough for my next few year of usage beside of the too small harddisk.

But do you know can it be migrate the whole system including data and software installed during changing of harddisk? Because there will be many software installed within the year.
