Hi, I have Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42-R8HN. When I'm using the laptop I am experiencing some lagging even though I am just browsing the net and everytime I checked the task manager the disk usage is always at 100%.
Pls help 😔.

My bios is version 1.13.
I have 4gb ram.

    Good night Mark2019  !

The error of 100% disk usage in absoluatemnte has nothing to do with hardware or with Acer.
This error is unique to Windows 8, 8.1, and 10.

What is the release version of sue windows, 1803 or 1809?
    Is there an antivirus installed?
Which service most consumes resources on the HDD in the device manager?

    See this video.

Probably the antivirus is set to run a full scan very frequently. I get this problem too. Full scans take some time to finish. What anti virus are you using? I have noticed this in a Dell laptop but in that case the culprit process never showed up on the task manager. Does it show on yours?

For the windows I think I updated it to 1809. For the antivirus I have Avast Premier and for the services it is always the system or system host.

I uninstalled the avast now I am using the stock antivirus of the windows which is windows defender I think and I am still experiencing some spiking after boot up. Is this problem caused by a wrong bios update or something?

    Do not.
As I already informed you this error is from Microsoft and absolutely nothing has to do with Acer.
It is a Windows only issue in its 8, 8.1, and 10 versions.
Have you already performed all the procedures in the video?

I am still searching for some english videos about this issue. But I would like to thank you for responding to my post I feel relieved that it is a problem in windows 😂. I think I would also ask some experts or bring it to the care centre.

    Thanks again for helping.
