Okay, I would try that. But how can I charge my unit to 100% for calibration when it stops charging before reaching 100%. I have tried suggested methods in the web but still it does not reach 100%. Thank you very much!egydiocoelho said:Calibration will cause the correct percentage of battery wear to be displayed!
Hi, still my laptop is not reaching 100% charge. What should I do now? Thank youegydiocoelho said:Do this:a) unplug the notebook from the electrical outlet, and then turn off the notebook;b) let the battery charge up to 100% with the notebook off;c) When the battery has charged, turn on the notebook using the battery only, then go to the power options and set the notebook to turn off the screen and the hard disk. Program the notebook to turn off when the battery is 4% and then let some video play on youtube until the notebook turns off;d) When the notebook is off, wait two hours until you recharge the battery with the notebook still turned off!

Never have tried opening the unit to remove the internal battery. Just tried pressing the button in the battery hole but still does not fix the issue.egydiocoelho said:Have you tried disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery to the motherboard?
there were no restore points available so I tried reinstalling windows through "Fresh Start" sadly, didn't resolve the issueegydiocoelho said:Have you tried restoring the notebook to a point before the problem?
I have not tried that one yet. Is that resetting to factory defaults? I will backup my files first then I'll update you once again after doing that method. But for now, can you suggest other ways? I cannot just reset my windows again because I'm currently working on important files. Thanks for the help!egydiocoelho said:Have you tried reinstalling windows by pressing alt + f10 before the Acer logo?
