Acer Spin SP513-51 "bootloop" without getting into Windows.
So I recently purchased a refurbished Acer Spin SP513-51 and when it works it's an amazing device, but it feels like a lottery draw whether it's going to work or not, everytime I boot it.
Essentialy, often when I try to boot the notebook the power light and backlight will turn on and then immediatly off. Then after a few seconds the same thing occurs and this either continues for a long time, or after a few times the power LED stays on. Again though, it's a coin toss whether or not the screen will actually turn on, and when it does it usually only does so after 20 seconds of the power LED being on.
Besides that, when the notebook does get into Windows, it will work fine, untill I leave the lid closed for roughly five minutes. Then the screen just doesn't show anything anymore, yet the LED and backlight will still be on.
I figure this is a hardware problem, and since it's a refurbished model the waranty seals have been broken, so sending it to Acer would most likely cost a pretty penny. Is there a way I could fix this myself without too much trouble?
When looking for the serial number it does not appear to have one, as it is not shown on the notebook's backside, in the utility or the bios, so sadly I cannot provide this.
