Hi

The card reader will not read cards on my Acer Aspire VX15 VX5-591g. I have reinstalled driver manually and automatically, deactivated and activated. I have also been awaiting a driver update for this issue, but it does not seem to be provided by Microsoft or Acer.
I can not see any actual issue with the drive other than the fact that it is unable to read cards.

Any suggestions?

    Hi!!

    @kenneth_ottesen

    I would like to know the type of card, which you are trying. Also did the same card worked in this Acer computer earlier?
    Hit Accept if its useful :)

    I have tested with multiple SD cards. From low-class cheap SanDisk cards to high-end SD-XC-cards from both Samsung and SanDisk. I also tested with Micro-SD to SD card adapters. All the cards works fine while inserted into other card-readers and in my SLR camera as well.

    When the SD card is inserted, it appears as visible at least.

    Within Device Management it says that the current state is that it works fine (as seen in the screenshot below). It also says within the Events tab that it needs further installation. However, further installation does not seem to be available. Is there any updated driver available for download, or ist there any other possible solution?

    This issue got solved by reinstalling Windows.
    It seemed to be a Windows related issue.
