Hi
I have a problem, when my Acer aspire E5-571-59AX runs on battery it suddenly it goes out. And then when i press on the middle of the bottom, I can turn it on again and the battery is at the same procentage as before it got out. When the charger is plugget in there is no problem. I think there is a broken circuit either on the motherbord or on the bord from the battery to the motherbord.

Is there anyone know what i wrong and how ti fix it?

Best regards

Open Device Manager. Uninstall all the drivers in the Batteries folder. Exit Device Manager without re-installlng anything. Shutdown. Reboot. If  problem persists the battery's internal charge controller board is failing. The battery should then be replaced as this controller can't be replaced without destroying the battery. Jack E/NJ

    >>>I have experienced it since>>>

What have you experienced? The same problem? Also did you edit your original post to add this phrase>>>And then when i press on the middle of the bottom>>>. I don't recall that you said this before. If this happened, you are activating the battery reset switch. Jack E/NJ

Sorry my mistake! what I would have written was "After I uninstalled the battery drivers. I haven't experienced it since. No I didn't edit my original post. I do not se any reset switches, and it's not the battery I was pressing.

But it works, it's the 3. day without going out. So do I need to install a new driver og should I leave it as it is.

I'd leave well enough alone for now. However, I'm still a bit concerned about the battery safety switch being de-activated. The safety switch itself is not part of the battery. The switch is on the mainboard and is designed to keep the laptop powered on when depressed by a protrusion on the bottom cover. When the cover is removed, power is cut off so no electrical damage can occur to the mainboard. If the cover protrusion is mis-aligned a bit with the switch, it will open circuit and cut power. When you pressed the bottom cover, it might've temporarily closed the switch circuit again. We should look into this safety switch if the laptop unexpectedly shuts down again. Jack E/NJ

Okay so I leave it for now, and if I experiences it again I will write again.

If you take this model apart. You have to disassemble from the top. So I think this switch is on top of the mainboard. or am I wrong?

No. The safety switch would be located under the bottom cover because it is the first component that must be removed to access the laptop interior. The fix is usually simple by affixing a spacer on the protrusion inside the bottom cover so it presses harder against this switch to keep the power on.  Jack E/NJ
