AMD Ryzen 5 2500u
16GB Ram
AMD RADEON RX 560X 4GB

Like the title implies I'm getting persistent fps drops after less than 10minutes of gaming. the framerate drops to 10 - 5 fps for 2 seconds before stabilizing and repeats after 5 seconds. Note that I've tried lowering the game settings to lower graphics but to no avail, the problem yet remains. The same problem occurs in 4 different games; TESV and the 3 dragon age games. 4 Different games with each having different minimum system requirements, yet the persistent fps drops is still there. Funny thing, it appears the internet is full of people having similar trouble with the nitro 5.

Here are the things I've done so far:
1. Setting everything to high performance in the power options. (when that didn't work I lowered the cpu and gpu usage to 80%)
2. Setting fan control on max in nitro sense, enabling coolboost and setting the ac powerplan on high performance.
3. Reinstalling my games
4. Reinstalling windows 10
5. Hitting my head on the wall in frustration
6. Making sure I'm using my RX 560X graphic card
7. Updating my drivers
8. Updating the bios

The nitro 5 might be branded as a budget gaming laptop but its price is really high here in Belgium. I don't know about other people but €1000 really isn't easy to come by for a student. Even though it's a budget laptop I at least expected to get my hard earned money's worth, and by that I mean I just wanted the laptop to work as intended. As it stands now I'm unable to play games due to the unbearable fps drop. If someone could give me advice on how to fix this I would be immensely grateful. Though if I don't find a solution to this unfortunate problem, there would be at least a lesson to be learned here. If I'm ever going to spend 2/3 of a month's wage on a gaming laptop, I'd be wise to do my research first. In any case, the lesson is well learned (shame I had to lose some money over it though)

Do you have a download link? I've downloaded ryzenadj win64 but when I open the application I get a command prompt window that immediately closes

On normal usage my cpu is around 30°
When I'm gaming cpu is max 80° and gpu max 90°
