Greetings
So i have this problem, My Acer Aspire S7 Wont trun on and the LED keeps blinking orange. Ive tried all the reconmendtions on the Forum(disconnecting the batteries and so on) when i unplug and plug it in again, the LED blink once blue and then orange, the only thing that happens ist that Chipset gets reallly Hot! Is it a dead intel chipset?
Regards

The blinking orange power button indicates the system is in power saving mode for some reason. What happens when you try to power it up on the charger alone without the battery connected. Jack E/NJ

No battery connected to MB, and pluging in had the following result.
No LED light, but the chipset does the same and gets hot fast.

What mainboard part(s) gets hot? Jack E/NJ

OK. Disconnect the battery and charger again. Remove the msata card. On the bottom of the mainboard, there's a jumper gap Gxxxx (end of the green arrow) to discharge any residual charge that may be causing the system to be stuck in sleep or hibernation. Momentarily short this gap with a screwdriver. Button it back up and hope for the best. Jack E/NJ
