    I found a re-install guide on a russian Acer Forum acer-club.ru which mentions (Google translated !) :

Driver Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework (DPTF). Important thing. This driver is only installed for the modifications to the chipset tablet i5-3317U (possibly for i3-3217U). On the tablet with an i3-2365M install it will not work. However, even on supported tablet just so he refuses to be installed. To solve this problem, you must first use the so-called DPTF_Fix:
    AttachmentDPTF_fix.zip (105.23 K)
    Downloads :: 25
You need to run the batch file as administrator Fix_DPTF.cmd (preferably manually from the command line), then run as administrator "C: \ Windows \ System32 \ DptfPolicyCriticalService.exe" and "C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64 \ DptfInvalidPolicyRemover.exe" and after This put the driver itself.

Problem Solved! Please, sorry my bad English, I'm Spanish

I installed Windows 8 Pro in my Iconia W700 using an USB memory from the option "Legacy BIOS" and this is the real problem of the splitted/white screen in our Iconia W700.

The problem looks like be in the Legacy BIOS option and to solve it I have done the following

    1. First of all, you need an external USB DVD reader to plug into Iconia W700, If you haven't one or don't want buy it, you can't solve this problem.
    2. Burn a Windows 8 Pro 64 bits edition (32bits don't works) You have to download an original copy from Microsoft servers in order to be compatible with UEFI mode. Before that, if you try to format later will appear one error message with product key , to solve it you have to do this.
    • 2a. Download Windows 8 from Microsoft servers, when download will be complete select create ISO, but don't burn it now!
    • 2b. In your system (I was on Windows 8 OS), go to folders properties and click in "show hidden files" and show extension files
    • 2c. Go to C:\ESD\Windows\sources
    • 2d. Here, create a text file (.txt) with this content. (This let install windows 8 without serial number and solve the installation problem)
    [EditionID]
    [Channel]
    Retail
    [VL]
    0

    • 2e. Save text.
    • 2f. Now you have to change the name and extension of this file to ei.cfg (If you have done fine you cannot edit it with with any program)
    • Now, Install ESD-TO-ISO. Download from http://www.eightforums.com/attachments/f1/f27/10873d1352384570-can't-find-option-burn-iso-disk-esd-iso.zip
    • Uncompress to desktop and execute it. Click in "GO" and then in "yes" and the software will create an EUFI ISO with WIndows 8 PRO
    • When creation ISO finish, will appear one message in order to burn this ISO image.
    • Introduce one DVD and burn it. The DVD is ready.

    3. Plug in the external DVD player with Windows 8 DVD inside

    4. Restart or turn on your Iconia W700 in UEFI mode instead of Legacy BIOS

    5. Format the tablet and install WIndows 8 Pro

    6. Enjoy! Smiley Wink

Dear you can do that with usb, with any iso windows 8 just use UEFI converter! You can find it everywhere

I tried it but I couldn't on UEFI mode, I cant't say why. I only achieved with an USB DVD reader, but another one can do it with one memory stick Smiley Wink
