For those with AMD Ryzen APUs (like me with my Ryzen 7 2700U), AMDs website now lists driver updates so we will no longer have to rely on slow-as-molases acer to release new graphics drivers.
Current latest by acer is v17.7

Usually not a good practice to update with generic device drivers unless there's a reason to do so other than a driver datestamp that means little. Generic drivers sometimes introduce adverse side effects because the overall  ACER system hardware designs are not generic. Jack E/NJ

Maybe so, but there are no issues to speak of at this time. Graphics performance is better and more stable with the up to date drivers.
While Acers system hardware designs certainly aren't generic, the AMD drivers are specifically for the AMD APU, and work fine.

I was really excited about this but I'm finding the Radeon Settings control panel wont open (tray icon appears then disappears a few seconds later without opening the window) and more importantly, the laptop freezes on a blank screen when you try and sleep or shut down.

    Any ideas?

Performance-wise it's at least 10% faster than the latest acer drivers.

ajm How do you estimate 10% faster? Jack E/NJ

Benchmarks,  I used Novabench and 3dMark basic/free edition.

I don't own or have owned a device with AMD APU or AMD GPU of any kind, but from my experience I haven't noticed any fps difference higher or lower than 1% from the generic and Acer driver(same release version). The newer Nvidia drivers are more stable than Acer's and provide better performance, but that is to be expected, considering that the Acer driver is much older. Therefore using generic up to date drivers is way better. Same thing should most likely be with the AMD drivers.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

I have no issues. Everything is working well.
Have you tried a clean install of the driver (uninstall drivers, reboot, install, reboot)?

I completely formatted the laptop, kept it off the network (so it couldn't reinstall the drivers from Windows Update), installed these and still have problems with it.  Then I updated to the latest BIOS, and did the same.  Now most of the problems are resolved, however, as soon as I install the RealTek audio drivers I have stability problems.  So sick of the driver situation on this machine.  Might just stick Linux on it and have done with it.

I dont have any issues with mine, but there's another threat with a person saying that he has issues with the realtek drivers and that the basic windows drivers work ok.

    Hi Ecip,
Can you explain in more detail about how you install the adrenalin 19.2.3?

I install 19.2.3 by choosing clean install option, after successful installation the sound doesn't work, on device manager some devices show up as no driver (exclamation mark).
Then I try to run the 17.7 again, it seems to me that some devices are not included in 19.2.3 which is downloaded from AMD. Unfortunately my HDMI get broken, I can't show the display out to my second monitor. It has been confirmed by the service center and I end up getting new mainboard replacement from them.

So I format my computer, do clean install first the 17.7 from Acer then 19.2.3 from AMD, this time I chose express install. It works after that, sound and other devices are still working since it isn't being uninstalled just like clean install option.

    Have reformatted your laptop?

I simply installed the drivers via the installer available on amd.com under drivers.
    I have not reformatted.

    Are you having issues?
