Acer W700 Dock

I'm having 2 issues with the Dock included with my new Acer w700.

First the screen locks in landscape mode when in the dock but I want it in protrait. Any way to switch to portrait when using the dock?

The other issue is that my USB devices don't work when plugged into the dock, has anyone else experienced this?

i found a manual rotate in the intel properties.

I am having an issue with brightness.  my external monitor shows as washed out and too bright.  but i seem to inly be able to change the brightness on the tablet screen (which doesn't need to be adjusted).  I'd rather not mess with the monitor settings as my regular desktop and any other laptop i plug into it looks fine.

The dock has to be powered from the external power supply for the three USB ports.  It does not take the power from the tablet.

There is a rotate lock on the edge of the tablet.  It would be in upper left if you are holding tablet in landscape mode with windows button at the bottom.  The dock can be reconfigured to portrait mode by removing kick stand, slip it into the other slot on dock rear and rotate tablet 90 degrees CCW.
