The 4pin connector goes 1st and then the 20pin over it. You will notice a little piece on the right side of the 20pin that is preventing the 4pin going fully in. You have to align them first and them plug them together in the motherboard.Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:

sorry but what do you mean by insert the four pin first. I try to move it put both wires are connected together so I can't twist it around as it won't reach. Do you mean attach the four pin and the 20 together and put them in? Or connect the four pin from where it's positioned first then the 20 pin.
I assumed you meant the four pin has to be on the right side. Not sure

From the right side means the right side on the picture. I think plugging the 4pin and then 20pin should work, but if it doesn't, align them and plug them in together, there is nothing hard about that. The way you have connected the 24pin to the mobo is the correct way.Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:

Am sorry but I don't know how0

Is that something I can look up or is it different from mobo to mobo0

Usually the front panel connectors of the motherboard are placed the same on every motherboard, but sometimes for OEM motherboards they could be placed differently, so let me check.Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:

Ok, it seems that the front panel has the same layout as the other mobos.Red squares is the LED connectors. The one from the end is the +. The green ones are for the power button(PW). For the rest of the connections follow this layout:The part that is crossed out doesn't apply for the Acer motherboard. Hopefully, the reset switch is on the same place on the Acer motherboard as in the diagram. If it isn't, then you have to go without reset switch.Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
