M3-581TG turns off unexpectedly

Hi

I only got my laptop (M3-581TG with Windows 8) last week and have have a fair bit of trouble so far and it's driving me nuts!

Firstly when you press the power button it does nothing except make a beeping noise every couple of seconds for between 5 - 10 minutes, then it will start up. From what I read before the laptop before I bought it, it was supposed to boot super quick but this is far from quick!

Secondly it will turn itself off with no warning or anything usually when I'm in the middle of something important. Sometimes it happens more than others, but it will turn off without fail after a period of use. I don't think this should be happening with a brand new laptop!? My ancient Dell is more reliable than this thing, and at the minute I'm regretting ever buying it!

The issues you are describing are not normal for this sytem. I would suggest you contact Acer technical support for your region to inquire about repair.
