OK. I'm gonna assume it's the SA5-271 model. Is it still under warranty? Jack E/NJ

your battery might have swollen. have you noticed any odd things about battery life or heat?

It is just the outer case which came out. As per the image it looks like the lock of the frame has come out. There is nothing to be worried as this can be snapped in again with a little force.

If you are worried about damaging it then i would suggest to take it to local store, hardly 5 min fix.

    I agree with Rudy21

You might want to try gently pinching the back of the screen against the bezel to try to snap it back in place. If yoou are afraid, then yes, take it to a local computer shop. Jack E/NJ

It still could be a swollen battery, the battery is there and being charged whenever you have it plugged in and if it's never been discharged it might be more prone to overcharging and swelling. It's not really too likely however, since that much size change would be really unusual. If you try and snap it back in place and it doesn't want to go it's be worthwhile to get it far enough apart to visually inspect the battery. If it just snaps back in place without issues then don't worry about the battery.
