Battery life is bad.after watching a movie (with 25% brightness)(movie duration is about under 2 hours most of the time) the battery life goes down from 100% to 20%-22%.
When i am in gaming(without adapter) i can't gaming over an hour.i don't like gaming with battery.but when i use it to watch a movie or works with ms word it behaves insane.in 2-2:30 hours it goes(with 25% brightness) down from 100% to 5%.
Now How can i increase battery life?

Lower power consumption via Windows Power Plan settings is probably the easiest method. There you can limit the CPU to 50% power and disable other features. You can also limit the power via Intel Extreme Tuning Utility by disabling Turbo Boost and a few other settings.

Disabling turbo boost is a crime better buy a core i3 instead then lol as i already said load of times the one and only purpose of the battery on gaming laptops its to aid the adapter when this needs an extra boost for more demanding tasks/games if you bought a gaming laptop and are expecting lasting battery sorry to inform you but u made the wrong buy u should had gone for a normal laptop instead

Undervolt via Throttlestop (CPU cache, CPU core and Igpu), disable turbo or even reduce further the maximum frequency of the CPU. For browsing in internet and watching movies you will not notice the difference, but you can double the battery life. If you want to play games on battery, you cannot do anything to maximize battery life. GL0

@xapim no i don't expect a longer battery life in my helios...but just a watching a movie in battery and the battery power goes down from 100% to 20%.i think it's not idle.
If it is idle then i have no complain.
But i think it not idle.48w battery has more power than 2 hours.0 -

That is the normal battery life time as advertised in all gaming laptops might be more and might be less if you want to increase the battery life you have to optimize windows background processes properly also undervolt disabling the turbo boost (don't advise it as it will reduce the performance) as i sad prior many times gaming laptops were made to be always plugged in the battery it's just an extra we ca use to move it one side to the other or just for browsing if your battery doesn't hold at least 2h from 100% to shutdown in my view it's faulty and i would report it for warranty asap either for a battery replacement or whatever they decide
