My Acer Aspire R5-571TG charger not working correctly

I have had this computer and charger a whole year now.  The charger sometimes works depending on if I angle the charger in a certain way.  Sometimes it says its charging, then it goes off, then on, then off, then off in quick succession.  Sometimes I plug it in and it just works.  It's very sporadic.
Is it the charger that is not working (only been 1 year and handled well) or is it my computer?

Could be either. If you have a multimeter, measure the voltage between the internal hole and external ring of the charger's plug. It should  measure about 19v DC. If it does, then it's likely the computer's charger jack or port is loose or needs adjustment. Jack E/NJ

Do you mean if it doesnt read 19 v DC it’s either?  Where would I go or do to get either fixed?

If the charger's output is significantly less than 19v by 2 volts or more, the charger should be replaced. Google "r5-571tg" and "charger" without the quotes for vendors/sellers that ship to your location. if the charger is 19v, then your computer's charger jack or port is loose or needs adjustment. Take it to a local computer repair shop. Jack E/NJ
