My PredatorSense application doesn't work and now I can't reinstall it

In short, my PredatorSense just stopped working; the load icon would continue to be displayed and just loop over and over without PredatorSense launching right. I thought I could just reinstall it using the download from the relevant support page, but now It says my "computer is not supported" whenever I use the download to reinstall it. The annoying part is that I was playing some new games and had the fans running at max, but now I can't switch them back.

I will note that I've had the motherboard replaced due to problems with heat a few months ago.
I hope this has a fix, I'm on holiday and rely on this laptop quite a lot at the moment.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Managed to fix it, went into the application section of event viewer and found there was an error with Perflib and PerfNet whenever I tried to open PredatorSense. Looked up how to fix it, put some commands into the cmd and now the app works again. For reference, this is the fix I used (solution 1). Glad that this works again cause that was pretty annoying.

Thank you for your input and happy holidays  =)

since the motherboard was changed, from the bios get the exact model no: of your machine.
then in the registry, in the predatorsense section ( search google or this group site for the exact location / key) put in the exact model no. , then try reinstalling PS.

The main issue is the regedit trick might work but it will revert back on every restart as acercare will recognize only the model in the bios same as the OS

Ok so I thought I could fix it with the registry edits but that didn't work. I then tried using an older version of PredatorSense, which installed fine but didn't have fan control. I tried using HXD editor to copy the code from the old installer exe into the new one; I thought this would let me bypass the laptop model check, while installing the correct version of the app. This did work, and from what I could tell the app installed correctly, but the bug still persisted: the loading animation and then nothing. I'm not an expert, but I would guess that something else caused PredatorSense to fail.

However, I have been able to reproduce the problem.

I reinstalled windows 10, which fixed the issue and PredatorSense worked again.  When I was tinkering with some undervolt profiles (using throttlestop) and testing them out on my games (while my fans were on max), my laptop crashed (complete freeze with no error message) and I had to force reboot. I will note this isn't the first time this happened, however PredatorSense and my other applications usually aren't affected. After that, my fans were stuck on max and PredatorSense wasn't opening beyond the loading animation.

Safe to say I'm pretty frustrated, since I'd like to avoid having reinstall Windows 10 and all my apps every time I encounter this issue. Since I currently rely on this laptop over my holidays I also can't send it in for repair.

Any further advice or possible fixes?

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for helping.

When the icon animation loading loop is going on, click on the "x" at top right of that loading animation. Then, again open Predator Sense. Will work now.

Acer developers should fix such things with their own software first, like this Predator Sense and BlueLight Shield in Acer Quick Access.
