My new laptop E5-576G-50ZQ with Windows (+Intel Optane) is turning off the HDD often and lags until it turns on to read the data. I can hear the spinning stops when Idle and starting when I click on something.
I've put "Never" on battery settings but this keeps happening. Unable to watch movies and play games because it keeps lagging to until HDD spin.
Acer Care Center shows that HDD is Healthy. Please let me know a way to fix this. Thanks!

Open Control Panel. Search 'power' Click Choose a power plan. Either balanced or hi perf is fine. Click change plan settings. Set never on everything. Click  change advance power settings. Click HDD folder. Set HDD turn off to never on  battery and plugged in. Jack E/NJ

I have done that already, but no luck. Thanks for your answer! Is there anything else to try?

Have you downloaded and tried installing the latest ACER IRST hotfix https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7333?b=1
Just issued on Hallowe'en. Jack E/NJ

I ended up re-installing Windows (different copy) along with Ubuntu. It seems that the issue is not with hardware but some kind of Windows setting I couldn't find.
If a future person is reading this, please try what JackE has suggested and leave your results here. The problem is not by a bad HDD so don't panic!

Thanks JackE for the prompt reply.

cel44 Thanks for report. What 'different' Windows copy? Was it the ACER-flavored version from the hidden HDD partition or the MS generic Win10 version from the MS installation media website? Jack E/NJ

By different I mean not a Acer flavored one, which I bought separately before. Now everything is back on track except "Acer" logo on Windows System details which doesn't mean anything :D
