How to fix GPU stuck at 600MHz?

Hi, I'm fairly experienced PC user, and I recently acquired an Acer Predator Helios 300. For the first few months, it ran games amazingly well with 90+ fps at good graphics. It's not my main gaming rig as I have a nice custom PC, but I use it on the go and at friend's houses, or if I'm in another room. Recently, however, all games run horribly because my GPU somehow stuck at 600 MHz, when the usual clock speed is around 1500-1600 MHz. I can't find the problem, and I've wiped the PC twice to no avail. I'm completely at a loss for help, as I've not found anyone else with this problem. I know it's not overheating, because the temperatures are at a normal range. I looked at GPU-Z and it says my GPU should be running at 1600 MHz. Help!!

Don't roll back. Uninstall GE force completely, and install an older version.

Literally been looking for hours, none of them apply to me and the solutions don't, and if you can tell me something that I haven't tried I'll believe that I could stand to look more. I've completely wiped both drives, tried different OS, tried every driver from 2017 and 2018, to no avail. my clock speed stays at 600 mhz no matter what i do

Well u have said before that u had formatted the hdd multiple times and the result is the same that is really weird as all the issues that had been reported before was due to the latest nvidia driver but as u said if u formatted everything that rules it out haven't got a clue on what might be causing it did u checked it with hwmonitor or msi afterburner if you are only using PS might be a bug on PS if not might be faulty gpu if so i suggest return it to warranty

Thanks guys! I went back to an old driver form September and my clock speed ran up to 1800 MHz! I'm having great performance now, and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again!

You can update to latest drivers if you like, they have resolved the clock lock that came with the dec 2nd update
