Does the motherboard/BIOS & CPU support Nvme/PCIe boot?

And is there support for U.2 SSD?

I've got the same question.  I have outgrown the 128Mb SSD as a boot drive, and want to add another SSD.  Would prefer PCIe bus over SATA for performance, but only see two PCIe X2 slots.  They look to be for cards, not SSDs.  Was wondering if anyone has found an x2 to NVMe card to enable.  Then, (and probably the first question to answer?) will the BIOS support?

You have the two x1 slots, but I don't know of bootable expansion cards for those slots. Typically to be bootable the card has to have a lot more smarts than just putting SATA or NVMe on the bus. The four SATA 6GB slots on the motherboard are all bootable. The computer is several years old now (released in 2014 IIRC), so it's no real surprise it doesn't have M.2 on the motherboard.
