One day my laptop just went blank. When I turn on my laptop the power button lights up and other indicators light up. I don't think its screen resolution or screen saver. I have already tried turning off and unplugging  charger and holding power button for 30, 60,and 120 sec. Didn't work... Should I try replacing the CR battery under keyboard

Holding the power button would not really make any difference. If you do not see any display and the unit receives power. Then try the below steps and check.

1.Unplug the AC adapter from your notebook.
2.Turn the notebook and look for battery reset pin hole.
3.insert the paper clip and hold it for 30 - 40 seconds.
4.Turn over the notebook one last time and plug in your AC adapter.
    5.Turn on your notebook.

If you still do not see any display. then Hold the power button for 10sec to turn off. Post which while turning on the device, immediately keep pressing F2 to access BIOS. If you are able to see the display here then its not a hardware issue and it could be something to do with operating system itself.

If its found to be operating issue, then re-install the OS. https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/38535

Connect the television to laptop & power both up.
If the TV image is normal, the laptop screen has failed or its connection is loose.
If the TV screen is black, re-seat/replace the RAM stick(s).  If no resolution, damaged RAM slot(s) or damaged motherboard.
The CMOS battery is unrelated to the problem.
If the device is still under warranty, ask Acer for repair.

FabLn  Your problem is likely due to a conductor trace break in the LCD video ribbon cable inside the hinge area from opening and closing the lid too much. Google your model number and lcd cable for vendors/sellers. Usually less than about $30 USD. Jack E/NJ
