I had bought a Acer Nitro 5 just a month ago .. The laptop is supposed to be a gaming laptop and should not overheat .. But on playing a game like GTA 4 on low graphics the upper middle portion of the keyboard overheats and the heat slowly spreads over the whole keyboard and by overheat i mean its not bearable to touch the upper region .. i guess around 80 degrees .. Please help .. I tried turning on CoolBoost that doesn't seem to make any change can anyone help .. The bottom region of laptop doesn't heat as the top region .. the bottom region is way cooler and no problem even if i keep the laptop on lap but the keyboard region is quite hot ..

Note : The overheat is caused only when using the Graphics card ( Nvidia MX150 ) and at normal usage the laptop remains very cool ..

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-31

Laptop specs
i5 8250U
Nvidia MX150
8 GB RAM

Please help ..

Hi Himture. I know it's been a while but did you ever sort out your issue? I am having the same even though I did repaste. And of course having a keyboard that's too hot too touch is NOT normal. I had several other ones before and never one where it is that bad. Once Acer, never again I guess...
