Hello, I bought the TC-780 back in June of this year and the other day I went to use the computer but the monitor was on but no mouse movement and I noticed that the power button light was blinking (white) but I could not not turn the computer off or get it to do anything.  I unplugged the power cord and waited about 30 seconds and plugged it back in but no power, no lights no sounds just dead.  Any advice what it could be?  it should be under warranty but just wanted to make sure I was not doing something that was simple to fix before trying to send it to get it fixed.

Thank you!

  • Hi,
Did you press the power button for few seconds after disconnecting the mains, if not, remove the mains cable, press power button for few seconds, let the PC rest for a while and try reconnecting the mains and boot.

Yeah, it was probably stuck in a sleep mode. Pulling the power actually takes a while to bleed off unless you press and hold the power button while disconnected.

If there is no evidence of a loose connection & the thing is dead; time to ask for repair under warranty.

It was the power supply.  I tested it with a power supply I had in another computer.

    Thanks for all the help!
