XC-885-Samsung Evo 970 NVME as boot=OK, but anyone had success with setting class 0 encryption?

Would like to encrypt this drive using class 0 encryption, but think you need to set a password in bios. The only psw option I have in my bios would be as supervisor, so not sure if this is the correct option or if there's something else that I'm missing. Anyone else gone down this route?

You can create a system image with Macrium Reflect, send it to an external drive or SDXC; then wipe the Evo 970.
Password reset is a taboo topic. View video.
Restore the system image to the Evo 970 when the password is no longer an issue.

From this thread (activation probably the same procedure for the Evo 970):

Thanks for your input. After also getting a response from Samsung it likes like I'd have to wipe the drive to enable the eDrive feature on the 970, which I didn't want to do and not having the HDD password option in bios means I can't encrypt using Class 0, so will have to consider whether it's worth it.
