No problem, you may even install a M.2 NVMe SSD, if you like, so please read this thread:https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/543597/sata-iii-or-nvme-m-2-ssd-slot-inside-the-aspire-e5-576g0

ADATA SX6000Pro
Intel ssd 760p series
Crucial P1 500GB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD
In term of read/write speed, intel is better?

Hi,
You need to expand(by clicking the + sign) those PCI Express Root ports and check which items are using them, like graphics card, WiFi etc, also can you highlight Root Port 9, 11 and 12 and check the maximum link width, my guess is that the Root port 1 is used by graphics card.

Hi,
Highlight Root port 9 and check the Maximum link width value, hopefully it's 2x, if so you can install a M.2 NVMe SSD.

I would suggest you to use Macrium Reflect free, backup the current HDD image to another external hard drive, create a bootable recovery USB with the same program, then install the new SSD, boot with the USB recovery disk, recover the image from the backup.
