Okay so this has been going on for the last 2 weeks, if the PC is plugged the charging led comes on but nothing happens when pressing the power button

It was turning on after pressing the little battery button in the back, but 2 weeks after that now nothing is working!

Anyone know if this could be a battery issue or maybe a motherboard issue?

Has anyone been able to solve this?

    Hi CMeardi,
Please try these steps and check if this works.
For this take out the charger if connected and press and hold the power button till all lights are off.
Have a look at the bottom of the laptop. Search for a tiny pin hole with a battery symbol by the side of it. If you see the pin hole, take a paper clip and press and hold it down for 30 seconds.
If you do not see the pin hole, then simply press and hold the power button for 30 seconds and let go.

Do try  performing BIOS default now.
    Steps to follow.
    1) Press and hold power button to make sure all lights are off.
2)Now press power button just ones and keep tapping F2 (tap,tap)about 10-15 times till the bios screen doesnt load up.
    3) Ones in BIOS, Press F9 one time and hit enter.
    4) Press F10 one time and hit enter.
This will restart your computer  .

If the computer does not go to BIOS. Also no acer logo, Its a hardware issue.
Since you say that charger when plugged in shows a light, it means the charger is working fine. Still if the computer is not turning on, it may be a problem with not the battery but computer itself.
So if these steps dont work, please contact acer for repair options .

Please let me know if this fixes your issue
