Predator15 gtx1060 not turning on

My unit usually doesnt turn on in an instant. the only thing lit after pressing the power button is the button itself and the trackpad switch and trackpad light. i found out as well that as long as my charger is connected i couldnt battery reset (pinhole under the unit). it usually would turn on after a while of trying then resetting battery, but it's just annoying to have this problem. hopefully someone can answer my issue. thanks!

    Hi IAmKaloy,
     Please try these steps and that should take care of issue permanently.( Noe when doing battery reset please always remove the charger).
    Then take a paper clip and press and hold it down for 30 seconds .
     Ones done follow with BIOS defaults.
    Steps to follow.
    1) Press and hold power button to make sure all lights are off.
    2)Now press power button just ones and keep tapping F2 (tap,tap)about 10-15 times till the bios screen doesnt load up.
    3) Ones in BIOS, Press F9 one time and hit enter.
    4) Press F10 one time and hit enter.
    This will restart your computer .
     After that check ,the issue should be resolved.

    Once your get your system turned on, head to windows power settings and disable "quick startup" option. This should take care of this problem for good.

    thanks for replying but unfortunately, i had my quick startup already disabled coz i saw this solution from some other forums as well

    I did the bios thing you said then my unit was supposed to restart itself but it didnt. It went back to the exact problem after i saved and exited. :anguished:

     Could you tell me after bios default did the computer not boot up. Was the charger connected to laptop during that time.

  • @IAmKaloy Can you tell the exact model of your notebook? The interlock button may not be pressed properly! Example of button interlock a515-51:

    Yup, it went to the same problem of boot booting. Just power button and trackpad lights.
    @IAmKaloy Can you tell the exact model of your notebook? The interlock button may not be pressed properly! Example of button interlock a515-51:

    Model number is g9-593-735l. It is still under insurance so i was hesitant to open my unit. 

  • No need to open the notebook! Open only the ram compartment if there is no warranty seal on the bolts and check for loose bolts! A user who had a problem similar to yours and the same notebook model had the problem solved by pressing these buttons:

    You do not need to apply excessive torque on the bolts, but press them so they are fixed in the lower case!

    This does look like a hardware issue to me, so if those steps does'nt work please contact acer for warranty repair.Following is link for acer support.

    Im trying as of the moment but i couldnt seem to find the picture uve shown after i open the ram compartment. Ill try to tighten loose bolts and see if it helps. Thanks!

  • You should press all lower case screws, not just those inside the ram compartment!

    I'm not sure, but I believe this is the interlock button:
    I do not recommend that you open the notebook as it is still in the warranty period!

    ill try it again later, i got it on again. the blue circle on the image is underneath the Hdd, is it ok to remove my HDD to tighten that screw? i did every screw not just the ones in the ram compartment. thanks for helping!
  • Yes, you can remove the hd! However I consider that perhaps the best option would be to let Acer fix the notebook under warranty!

    Yes, you can remove the hd! However I consider that perhaps the best option would be to let Acer fix the notebook under warranty!
    i think it's the best option as well for now. thanks for all your help! i really appreciate it! ill try it one more time and if it still the same ill bring it to a service center! thanks again!
