Black screen

A week ago I bought an Acer Aspire 3 A315-41 notebook, but I encountered this issue twice: during a random activity the screen goes blank and black (the last time it happened while I was surfing on internet, checking my photos on google photo). I know the pc is still ON since I can hear the fan's noise and the background lighting is still active, but the monitor is not responsive. If I let the monitor shut down by just being idle, then I can press any button and it turns on, working properly again.
Any thoughts?

(Windows is updated, sfc/ scannow already done, everything else is normal)

    Hi Malvas,
Please try to uninstall and reinstall the display drivers.
For that. press windows logo + X on key board.
Click on Device manager from left hand panel.
Now click on arrow on the display drivers.
Now right click on each driver and click Uninstall(Make sure to uncheck delete driver if that is checked as we are not deleting any driver).
Then restart computer and keep working on it. Please let me know if the issue gets resolved

It may be a failing screen.  Do a battery reset. If no resolution, ask Acer for repair under warranty.

I've reinstalled (and updated) the VGA drivers, I will test it.
The battery seems to be working properly, does a battery reset help me for this issue?

Also, I can hear a hum/buzz coming from the inside. It's a slight but costant noise and it sounds like electronic noise, is this supposed to happen?

The battery reset is a troubleshooting step & fairly simple to perform.  It does not involve opening the back cover.
If the noise is not the HDD spinning, it may be a bad sign.  If the internal battery reset does not resolve all problems, consider asking the vendor for a full refund.  If that is not forthcoming, then ask Acer for repair under warranty.

    Hi Malvas,
Thanks for your response.Good to know that the computer  is working ok till now after the driver reinstallation. There is no harm in doing a battery reset.
     Steps to follow.
     Shut down the computer.
Turn around the computer and look for a very tiny pin hole in the bottom panel of your computer. It has a battery symbol drawn by the side of it.
Ones located take a thin paper clip or a pin and press and hold it down in the hole for 30 seconds.
Once done restart the computer. Check if the clicking sound is still coming.
Please let me know if this fixed your issue.

Thanks for the hints. Unfortunately, the noise is still there and the black screen issue has happened again. So I'm going to follow wis' advice and asking for a new laptop, now I'm glad I bought it directly from Amazon. Hopefully my next Aspire will be fine.

I have a black screen problem as well on my Aspire V 15. "Preparing Automatic Repair" does not boot to screen. I did a battery reset & BIOS default with no success. Any suggestions?

@Malvas If you haven't returned the machine yet, open Control Panel. Search "power plan". In the left pane choose edit power plan. Set the display so it never turns off on both battery and while plugged in. Jack E/NJ
