Why doesn't the screen go off or screensaver work with a Bluetooth connected mouse.
Hello fellow geeks and gurus. I come to you with the mystery that I cannot solve. Bear in mind I'm usually the guy that everyone far and wide comes to when they need computer help with something no one else knows anything about. So, for me to be so stumped by this has really got me frustrated. LOL.
I have an Acer Switch Alpha 12 (SA5-271). I use a Bluetooth mouse, and like most people I would like to be able to step away from my computer and have my screensaver start or have my screen turned off after the specified amount of minutes. Sounds reasonable, right? I can't figure out for the life of me how to make that work.
As soon as I disconnect the Bluetooth mouse, power management resumes and turns my screen off. However, if the Bluetooth mouse is connected, the screen will not ever blank nor the screensaver ever start. I checked everything in power management that I know to check.
Due to circumstances (of which the reason I got a tablet in the first place) I have to rely on battery for many hours during the day. Without my screen blanking, I'm burning my battery for no reason. Even if it's for 10 minutes here and there, that would make a world of difference throughout the day.
Any ideas on this? Maybe a registry tweak?
Thank you so much for your attention. I just know someone out there can figure this out.
