Hello guys,

I just bought this laptop like 2 days ago and I'm pretty dissapointed, because I've read lots of ratings for this laptop and every single one was positive saying how good this laptop is even for gaming, but mine laptop does not seem to be working 100%. When I try to play any game on high perfomances, it looks like the laptop does not use the radeon 560x GPU and keeps on using the primar one.

My HW is: CPU - Ryzen 5 200
             : GPU - Radeon 560x
             : Ram - DDR4 8GB
             : HDD + SSD -  1 TB + 256 GB

I've tried almost everything.. Uninstalling the new drivers and installing the older ones, but when I install the radeon software, it starts lagging after a while even if it's the 17.7. version.
When it has been without radeon software, the laptop had been working just smoothly and fine, but then I've tried to play a game and everything went crazy... It's after microsoft windows update 1803.

Can you guys, please, help me with solution ? I am pretty positive that it's a SW problem than HW, but I have no clue how to fix it after all...

VGA_AMD_17.40.3601_W10x64_A is the only driver that works for now.
Use DDU to remove old drivers, and then install 17.40.3601. Make sure that 560x is set to high performance card for every single game that you are playing.

Thanks a lot mate, seems to be working pretty good now, but I have another problem... When I try to set any game on a high performance it does not do anything and when I check the task bar, I can see that the GPU radeon 560x works on 0% and the Radeon Vega 8 Graphics almost on almost 100% but it feels like games are faster now, but I can't see the radeon 560x working and have no clue why. When I swich off the game and turn it back on, I can see that the game is not setup for a high performance, even though I already chose it to be working on high performance, like it was restarted or the option was not saved. How is this possible?

It's very strange. In switchable tab of the driver menu there have to be a option to choose high performance for games that you have played. It works on my machine. There is similar option in windows. In display settings -> advanced -> something with apps on it. There you can set speciffic app to use 560X on high performance.
I tried Dirt Rally and Civ VI and they works perfectly.

I've already solved the problem. I've got rid of the problem by upgrading BIOS to the newest version from acer website and also downloading the drivers you've told me to download and install. Then I've also had to change the power to high performance in advanced settings at GPU and CPU. Since I've done all of this I can tell that my Laptop is running perfectly fine without problems and I am pretty impressed that I am able to run GTA V on ultra settings and other games. Thanks a lot for your help, mate.

My bad. I forgot to tell you that I upgraded my BIOS too. Glad to see that everything is OK now :) These are little mean machines :D
