Is the SSD detected in BIOS?
Please create a USB recovery media before making any changes on your laptop. Use the following steps to create a USB Recovery Drive using Acer Care Center:
Click the Start  menu. Click All Apps. Click the Acer folder, then click Acer Recovery Management. Click the Backup tab.
Click Get Started to the right of Create Factory Default Backup. Insert a 16 GB USB drive into your system.
Make sure there is a check in the box next to Back up system files to the recovery drive and click Next.
Select the drive you wish to create the USB recovery drive to and click Next. Click Create. Click Finish.

To transfer your OS to SSD.
Please follow the steps below and see whether it helps:
1.Download and install Minitool partition wizard free.
    2. Install the SSD and use Migrate feature to transfer the contents of HDD to SSD.
    3. Go to BIOS and change the boot order to make the SSD as your first boot device.
    4. Make sure the migration was successful, then format the HDD and use it for storage.
You can also remove the HDD and use the laptop only with the SSD after the migration completed, if you prefer.

    Hi,
I don't think a NVMe SSD is compatible with your model.

    Hi.

    Storage Subsystem
    Solid State drive
    M.2 2280 128GB/256GB
    SATA SSD (SATA 3.0)

According to the service manual, your computer supports SATA 3, apparently it does not support PCIe.

    Regards.

My M.2 fit perfectly 100% with my model but i'm not sure if it compatible with it.

    Hi,
Yes, both types of M.2 SSDs will physically fit in the slot but it won't recognise NVMe SSD.

    Hi,
I am afraid that you have to sell it because I doubt very much that Acer will update BIOS for it.
