I will never buy another Acer product

I have an Iconia A501 Tablet this is less than 18 months old and has a broken power switchThe unit cannot turn on and is totally uselessIt has not been abused or dropped. I cannot find out through this website how to send it in for repair since it is out of the 1yr warranty. I'm absolutely discussed with this product.

    As long as I know, apple iPad also have no ready parts,so if your warranty period is over they will suggest replace with a new one. But if it happen in warranty period,they will replace it with a new one. Dunno why, but it happen sometime
    In indonesia there's a solution, by looking for refurbished parts ( usually we say it cannibal in indonesia). So you won't need to buy a new one.

    DO NOT BUY AN ACER PRODUCT I have several Acer products, two laptops and two tablets. the most recent, an A100 now refuses to boot up (like so many others I discover after reading the Acer forums). It is not two years old yet but apparently will need a new motherboard due to probably a memory design fault. Acer are not doing anything to help owners with such faulty but new machines just out of warranty. They quote over £50 to look at it and forum reports suggest over £150 to replace the motherboard. This is a very unsatisfactory after sales support and means I will not buy any more acers. I would not recommend anyone else to do so ether.

    just bcos something happened accidentally  ull never buy it  .. just use warranty

    I had vahe sacer and never had any issues.

    Me too. My Iconica A100 needs a new battery. Absolutely no help at all from Acer. So now I have to listen to my wife say, "I told you so. I knew Acer was a piece of junk. I had an Acer computer years ago and had nothing but problems." This is not pleasant to listen to.

     

    Untrained owners can easily put a new battery in phones and computers. Why are tablets different? Acer customer services really sucks, but to be honest, its no worse than Apple. I think I might try Samsung next. I love my Galaxy S4 phone.
