Predator Helios 300 G3-571 Crashing on external monitor

My first laptop I bought on black friday would not run on battery power. Returned/Exchanged for this one via Amazon and now this laptop crashes when connected to a external display (after a while, not immediately). Really starting to question Acer's reliability/QC... 2/2 defective devices for me? I should buy a lottery ticket

Tried disabling than re-enabling display adpaters, didn't work.
Uninstalled both display drivers and reinstalled both via website direct and not Acer software, still crashing.
By crashing I mean the screen goes all crazy pixels, not black nor BSOD.
Any thoughts?

Haven't tried disabling and re-enabling drivers after reinstalling, will try that next.
I've also tried a different cable, still had the issue (this was before driver re-install), so I don't think it's the cable causing the issue.

Wow, it's getting worse, I can't even play games on the laptop without the GPU crashing, gonna try an older nvidia driver

Is no one else having my problem? It seems like my graphics card is defective as I can't even play games (currently play PUBG) on this laptop without an external monitor

Maybe try install clean version of windows once again? For my problems with virtualization that was a solution.

I uninstalled the driver using Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode and reinstalled the latest Nvidia driver, seems to work now on the laptop, will try connecting to external display...

My G3 571 sounds like its having the same issues. Did the safe mode driver uninstall work? I just really dont want to send it in. Heard alot of people say they get it back with stuff still wrong. I like trouble shooting so I'm going to figure it out.... eventually lol. Any help would be much appreciated!

I returned my first one because safe mode uninstall didn't work. My second one, safe mode uninstall worked until I made this thread. I finally gave in and sent it in as the graphics card became 100% dead. They replaced the motherboard and graphics card assembly. However, I'm now having issues with the power supply, on the power supply that came with the laptop, I would get random FPS drops while gaming, not noticeable when doing random stuff. I had thought it was probably the power supply as I know the FPS when gaming on battery is about the same so I bought a replacement PS from ebay and have not had the issue anymore. I'm gonna start a RMA for the power supply next week when I travel and don't need 2 power supplies. (1 at work and 1 at home)
