Somebody please explain to me why...

...on a brand-new, top-end, wiz-bang gaming laptop like the Predator G9-793, I have to resort to running a bloody app like PredatorSense manually to get maximum cooling before I start a mildly taxing game, and then again to turn it off when I'm done playing? Unless there's something I've missed over the last couple of months of owning and running it, this is the only way to ensure adequate cooling while gaming. Am I the only one deeply disappointed that the fan control isn't automatic on a $1700-$1800 modern machine?

You can also use your macro key.. I believe its the red profiles #1 key. (Cycles fan profiles)

There are plenty of undervolting tutorials including the FAQ in this forum if you want to lessen temps greatly. Might I ask what your temps are at bro?

I have the G9-793 and the cooling is beastly.

I dont think I ever surpass 75 C on even the most taxing games.

Hey Red, Mine idles at 38C, routinely runs at around 76C when gaming, and occasionally spikes to as high as 95C. To my mind, this is WAY too high for comfort. Not sure what you mean by using the macro keys to cycle fan profiles... can you elaborate? Oh, these temps are on "normal". I have never used "faster" or "turbo"; I see no need. The system is more than adequate without overclocking.

Oh, and I'm looking at your video, and my PredatorSense doesn't look anything like the one you're using in the video... I did download the latest version from the download page when I bought the machine a couple months ago. is there some super-secret download page I don't know about? :)
