Does reinstalling windows void the warranty?

Really confused. I reinstalled windows as I was having issues now my trackpad doesn't work and I am really worried I will have to RMA my device

    Please dont worry re-installing the same operating system given by the manufacturer would not void the warranty.

  • The warranty is divided into two parts:
    a) hardware warranty: 90 days defined by law plus 275 days;
    b) software guarantee: only 90 days;
    In this case, as there was a software change, you lost the software warranty, but the warranty for the hardware will remain! However if you have not modified or changed the Acer recovery partition when reinstalling windows, then the warranty will remain as long as you reinstall the system to factory defaults: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/standard-warranty

    I reinstalled it via the Media Creation Tool not the Acer recovery partition way hence I think it is gone. Is there any way to reinstall the factory ISO?

    I reinstalled it via the Media Creation Tool as suggested by Microsoft. I did not know regarding the Acer Recovery thing. But reinstalling the original Acer ISO should fix it
  • You can check whether the recovery partition has changed or not! When you turn on the notebook, keep pressing alt + f10; if a blue screen appears with the settings for windows recovery, then the recovery partition has not changed; if by pressing alt + f10 nothing happens, then you deleted the recovery partition from Acer!
