Hello! I recently purchased the Acer Aspire E15
E5-576G-5762 and I have enjoyed it quite a bit; really great for the price. The one problem I've encountered is that the battery life is nothing near what it claims. The website claims 14 hours and review testing claims about 10 hours with normal usage and video playback. I'm getting more around 4-6 hours just with like 8 chrome tabs browsing and like nothing else in the background. CPU is running between 35-45 degrees normally (via CoreTemp).
I made one upgrade to the machine when I got it, and that was adding another SSD in the 2.5 inch bay as well as added another stick of 8gb ram. I tried removing both and returning it back to normal specs, with no noticeable improvement. Fans also spin pretty loudly with just simple video playback... so I have no idea what's going on. Could it be the OS? Is there a way to revert back to the complete original OS that is came with?
Thanks in advance!
